New version of the KAISAI DHW/heating tank for heat pumps

Kaisai KTFD is a specially designed, innovative DHW and buffer tank for heat pumps, which combines both a domestic hot water tank and a buffer tank in a single housing. The new version allows for cooperation with heat pumps with higher heating capacities.

The design of the device saves space while maintaining functionality and the necessary operating parameters. The water heating tank fits perfectly into any type of installation, both newly designed and modernised, guaranteeing reliability, simple installation and ergonomic space.

The buffer tank ensures minimum load and flow of heating water through the heat pump regardless of the operating conditions of the installation. In addition, it reduces the frequency of heat pump activation, which translates into lower electricity bills and extended device life. As a result, the total operating time per year is also reduced, which also contributes to longer pump operation.

The most important modifications applied in the new version of the tank:

• increased DHW tank capacity to 274 litres
• increased coil surface area to 2.9 m², while reducing medium flow resistance
• increased buffer tank capacity to 134 litres with an improved design inside the buffer thanks to the addition of knees separating the medium flow streams
• increased diameter of connections in the hot water tank and buffer.

Other features of the Kaisai KTFD tank:

• DHW tank and buffer tank made of SUS316 stainless steel
• low flow resistance through the coil 0.25 bar/3m³/h
• 50 mm thick polyurethane foam insulation
• compact dimensions: diameter 0.70 x height 1.895 m
• max. working pressure of the DHW tank and buffer tank up to 10 bar.
